via Salzburg on the Tauernautobahn south to Bischofshofen, exit GASTEINERTAL via St.Johann the Bundesstrasse 167 to Bad-Hofgastein, roundabout NORD into the Salzburgerstrasse third turn right into the Bergstrasse and immediately right into the Tauernstrasse.

via Villach on the Tauern motorway in the direction of Salzburg to exit Mallnitz / Obervellach the main road to the Tauern sluice Mallnitz - Böckstein (timetable please ask the Federal Railways) from Böckstein the main road to Bad-Hofgastein - roundabout NORD - otherwise from the north.
